Magic Mesh. It’s a must-have for any crafter.

- It’s kid friendly.
- Emboss it, stamp it, punch it, layer it, stencil it, laminate it, weave it,
color it—even stick glitter to it.
Use it for scrapbooking and card making, or home decor items. The
possibilities are limitless. Magic Mesh is great for home and gifts, for
pre-school and kindergarten projects, and for occupational and physical therapy.
Give your projects instant dimension and color with Magic Mesh. Enhance
pages, cards, memory albums, altered books, bookmark—you name it. If you can
make it, you can use Magic Mesh.
- Dimension: Layer Magic Mesh over photos, paper or templates for dimension or
under photos, die-cuts, and page toppers to create a custom background for your
treasures. Cut and stick for fun and funky borders and photo corners.

- Color: Magic Mesh is available in an array of colors to give your pages pop.
You can also color Magic Mesh to create custom colors that match any paper or
photo.
- Weave wire, ribbon, string, or anything through Magic Mesh.
- Stencil: Extra-wide weave Magic Mesh can be used to create a subtle tiling
effect with watercolor pencils. Simply apply Magic Mesh as a stencil, peel off
and use again. Use it for pages and cards as well as individualized stationery
and gift wrapping.
- Fun and original lettering is as easy as cut and stick. Use Magic Mesh with
Sizzix die cuts, Fiskars punches, or any cutting system. Just place it on paper
before cutting.
Experiment with Magic Mesh for any number of nontraditional uses:
- Textured contemporary wall art, framed or unframed
- Lampshades
- Place mat toppers
- Napkin rings
- Decorative boxes
- Laminated coasters
- Kids’ room accents
- Stencil for wall or fabric accents or to create a tiling effect on painted
walls

Magic Mesh also has many uses for education.
- For handwriting improvement and practice, highlight the area to write on.
- Use Mesh to identify by color items or spaces around the home, office or
school. Place on chairs, tables, cabinets, doors, locker, etc.
- Use a die-cut star as a locker decoration or reward.
- Color code folders, cards or papers for student use.
- Punch or cut letters or shapes in various styles and sizes to manipulate and
move for games and learning on paper, white boards, walls, objects, etc. Letters
are removable and repositionable.
- Create games and learning charts with pre-cut shapes and squares of
different colored mesh to match and move over and over again (place the red mesh
square over the red apple, place the yellow mesh 2 next to the large number 2,
place black mesh next to the kettle cupboard, etc.)
- Create temporary games, such as Tic Tac Toe, on white boards, floor, car
windows, lapboards and dining room tables.
- Use mesh as a light stabilizing grip for such instruments as violins or to
position on knee for guitars.
- Use for all sorts of simple and complex craft projects for different
functioning and learning levels: card making, gift boxes, gift tags, lunch bags,
refrigerator art, scrapbooking, bulletin boards, party decorations, posters,
etc. For other ideas, please see the Showcase and Project sections on this web
site.
Magic Mesh also has many uses for occupational therapy
- Use Magic Mesh as a paper stabilizer for handwriting on checks, notes and
paper. It can be placed horizontally or vertically on a variety of surfaces and
keeps hands and papers from slipping while writing.
- Outline spaces to practice how and where to set a dining place setting.
- For large motor activities use strips of Magic Mesh on the floor to create a
bowling lane, beanbag toss area (toss the orange bean bag on the orange square,
etc.), hopscotch, walking/jumping, or moving area.
Place on a beverage can, glass or bottle as a light grip
or to identify by color.
- It can be used as a light stabilizer, with similar uses to other stabilizers
like Dycem.
- Mark a glass door or window with a large X in a bright color (red,
lime-green, orange) for persons with low vision or memory impairment.
- As textural stimulation without the unsightly color contrast use mesh colors
that blend in with objects/surroundings to help guide those with low vision down
a hallway, stairway etc. Use any color mesh when color contrast is or is not
needed to help guide texturally in the dark or in emergencies, or in games such
as mazes.
- Map out an area on a small scale or onsite to help with reorientation into a
new living space or to improve furniture and practical living and storage
spaces.
- For visual, textural and sensory stimulation cut 1- to 2-foot strips for
creative play. Clients can layer the Magic Mesh to create various colors, place
it around their fingers, arms, legs; press it down and pull it up; peel the mesh
apart; and spend time experimenting in one place or moving about the area.
Pliable and sturdy, Magic Meshcan be used as a base for other craft media,
such as beading and clay.
You can do beading in two ways. For chokers, bracelets, watches or
pins, a clear-drying, bendable adhesive may be applied to a strip of Magic Mesh,
covered with beads or other items, then left to dry. Be sure to place the Magic
Mesh on a sheet of plastic wrap first, so the adhesive won’t stick to your work
surface. You also may thread beads onto our expandable metal mesh.
Because it can withstand heat, Magic Mesh also provides a sturdy base for
clay projects. The clay may be pushed through the weave or rolled thin on top of
the mesh and baked. Exposed edges of the mesh may be used to attach various
pieces of clay for unique boxes or other multi-sided items.
Magic Mesh is perfect for mosaics. Lay Magic Mesh sticky side up and position
chips and stones. Fill in with faux grouting.
The opportunities are endless. You’ll be amazed at what you can
create. |
